The house bathroom is not the plan
The single most common mistake at a home wedding is assuming guests will use the house. They will, in a queue, through the kitchen, past the bedrooms, for six hours. A dedicated restroom protects both the house and the evening.
Placement is a design decision
Site the unit close enough that guests use it without thinking, and far enough that it is not in the photographs. A hedge line, a garage side, a driveway spur or the far edge of a lawn usually gives you both.
- Keep the guest path lit and level — this matters more after dark than anything else on the list
- Avoid routing guests across the ceremony lawn or through the catering path
- Check gate widths and overhead branches before you commit to a spot
- Firm, reasonably level ground: pavement, compacted gravel or firm turf
Timing
We deliver ahead of your schedule and walk you or your planner through the unit before guests arrive. Delivery, placement, levelling, stocking and collection are included in every booking, so nothing about it lands on your day-of timeline.
Ask early, not late
Wedding-season weekends are confirmed in the order they are booked, often six to twelve months ahead. If your date is fixed, the restroom conversation is worth having as soon as the venue is.
